In “Outside Groups Air Ad on Abortion Issue,” The Wall Street Journal focuses on our central message that if John McCain and Sarah Palin have their way and abortion is banned, women will be treated like criminals.
Responding directly to the How Much Time message, McCain spokesperson Tucker Bounds said, “the suggestion that John McCain and Sarah Palin want to put women behind bars is absurd.”
But it’s anything but absurd. It’s the harsh reality if McCain and Palin have their way.
We need to get more people thinking about this question and the real life consequences of a McCain/Palin administration.

you hit it right on the nail here “We need to get more people thinking about this question and the real life consequences of a McCain/Palin administration”
that’s the problem… alot of us aren’t seeing the endgame of these policies…
ponder this… let’s just imagine we could freeze all laws on guns, gays and abortions for 10 years… just get all the short-sighted, hot-button issues out of the way…. how would the Republican party survive? They have no substantial link to the electoral masses that support them. They simply have these abstract ideological links.
I am so disappointed by the Left’s inability to steal these voters. Take those three issues out, and boy, there’s ahelluva lot of common ideas between the progressive left and the conservative right. Better yet. Imagine what the term “centrist” would mean if the representatives of the true left and the true right were used as a measuring stick.
What would centrist mean if we used Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich as the true measure of left and right? What would that cabinet look like? Many of the rest (dems and repbs) are just huge glut of supply-side addicts in the middle.
I really hope that the headier folks on the right wing really see through this McCain-Palin nonsense. If we’re lucky, in ten years we’ll be talking about Obama Republicans.
But then again, that also depends on your definition of “lucky”.
